New Quay is well known for its dolphins, which can be viewed from local boat trips and sometimes from the harbour wall. The surrounding cliffs are nesting sites for Razorbills, Guillemots and Kittywakes. There are numerous attractions in the area including sailing, horse riding, golf, tennis, sea and coarse fishing, go-carting, quad biking, skiing, swimming and canoeing. |

There are many interesting beaches and coves along the coastline that are easily accessible. The market town of Cardigan is about 15 miles south of New Quay on the estuary of the river Teifi The quaint and colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is about 5 miles to the north. For a unique boating experience, Coastal Voyages set out from the harbour to explore the coast (not for the faint-hearted). |
